Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Tanya was born and raised in First Baptist Church of Linden NJ, where the late Reverend George C. Abernathy was Pastor. Pastor Tanya stopped attending church at the age of 17 and did not return to the church until she was 30.

While trying to deal with the passing of her son, Jacque H. Parrott, Pastor Tanya decided that she needed help, that she could not do life on her own. After visiting houses of worship and talking with God, Pastor Tanya became a member of Praise Temple ICOG, Linden, NJ in November of 2003, under the leadership of Bishop Tony McNeill. For the next 18 years, the Lord molded and groomed Pastor Tanya for greater works. Pastor Tanya served on the Usher Ministry, The Sounds of Pentecost Choir, President of the Dance Ministry, Secretary of the Women’s Ministry, Media Ministry, initiated the YMCA Holiday Dinner, and started the Y.outh C.onnection B.ible C.hurch.

On September 24, 2010, Pastor Tanya married her ministry partner, the late Minister Kevin Miller, where the two would become one in ministry, serving together for the next 11 years.

In 2012, God gave Pastor Tanya the vision for Scripture DC, a Bible Study Talk Show. Under the same umbrella, Power of Prayer Weekend Strength Prayer line was birthed in 2014, and Project Penn (Outreach Mission) in 2015.

In October 2013, Pastor Tanya began a women’s “Sisterhood” called M.S.C., where women could come, share, cry, laugh, and sing their way back to wholeness.

In 2016, Pastor Tanya was licensed and ordained a Minister of the Gospel by Bishop Tony McNeill.

In February of 2021, Pastor Tanya returned to school to further her Biblical studies at Maranatha Bible Institute in Irvington NJ. The school closed for re-vamping and Pastor Tanya enrolled at Screven Memorial Bible Institute in Newark NJ where she is currently a student.

In May of 2021, Pastor Tanya became a widow as she laid her husband, her “cheerleader” to rest. 

In June of 2021, the Lord began to shake Pastor Tanya to move into the position in which He had called her (after a few years of hesitation and fear). After being shaken for a couple of months, which she describes as “shaken baby syndrome,” Pastor Tanya went to her leader, Bishop Tony McNeill and asked permission to launch out, and she received his blessing.

On September 11, 2021, Pastor Tanya launched Freedom & Liberty Outreach Fellowship. “The place where you can be all that God created you to be.”

On April 10, 2022, Pastor Tanya received her Pastoral Institution from Bishop Richard Jennings - United Fellowship of Kingdom Churches and Ministries Inc.

On August 5, 2023, God opened an unexpected door, and Pastor Tanya accepted a teaching position at Screven Memorial Bible Institute teaching Evangelism.

In October of 2024, Pastor Tanya released her first book, “Order In The Court-Mistrial Of The Saints and her second book, “I Object”-Healing and Prayer Journal in 2024.

Pastor Tanya is a mom, to an adult daughter, Qiana D Hill (MSW, LSW, CCTP). Some call Pastor Tanya a mentor, some call her a mid-wife, some call her their Spiritual Mom, but Pastor Tanya calls herself a servant of God. God has done a quick work with Pastor Tanya. Whatsoever Pastor Tanya hands find to do, she does it with the spirit of excellence. She knows God to be a healer, a deliverer, a keeper, a way maker, a comforter, and a provider. She loves setting up and sharing a God encounter with everyone.
